Judy Chicago - The Dinner Table

The following excerpt is from Wikipedia; 

“Judy Chicago … is an American feminist artist, art educator,^[3] and writer known for her large collaborative art installation pieces about birth and creation images, which examine the role of women in history and culture.” 

This artist’s work strongly relates to topics that I enjoy working with and I find that The Dinner Table strongly relates to an idea I’ve had relating to create a series of plates that act as a critique for “Women’s work” such as household tasks and dishwashing. Although this piece is a celebration of different women, I find the idea of using food items quite interesting in relation to women’s expected labour.
